Only You

Iíve seen Nahanni sunsets, walked the shores of Hudsonís Bay
And wakened on the tundra on a crisp September day
Iíve watched the shadows of the clouds sail over Prairie wheat
And stood against Pacific storms, a ship beneath my feet
But though I long to see it all, the land between the seas
I stay here in the city
And thereís nothing, only you, thatís here for me

The fishingís good at any time in B Cís mountain streams
And Okanagan beaches can fill your winter dreams
Drifting down the Georgia Straits will take away your care
And the current on the Yukon will challenge if you dare
But though thereís many places that Iíll never see, I fear
I stay here in the city
And thereís nothing, only you, for me thatís here

The Northern Lights in early fall can take your breath away
And a lonely flock of honking geese coming home in early May
All these things still call to me and linger in my mind
The places that Iíve been and the ones I hope to find
But you beckon me with just a smileand a love I know is true
So, I stay here in the city
And thereís nothing for me here, thereís only you
