Crocuses

Crocuses here, crocuses there
Crocuses, crocuses everywhere
Sprout in a rush, just to be seen
While other flower still sleep and dream

Hey, little flower, what is your hurry?
You know youíll be buried under a flurry
Other flowers attempt to compete
But they canít shake the bonds of sleep

The daffodils try to do whatís right
With a lustrous array of yellow and white
But they canít match the rainbow
Of all the colors that you show

So, keep on striving to be the best
And donít be concerned with all the rest
You really donít take up much space
And you make the world a better place
